Welcome to the Rio Grande R/C Flyers web site.

The Rio Grande R/C Flyers is a model airplane club dedicated to building and flying radio controlled model airplanes. The club is based out of McAllen Texas. The club fly's on the Bell Farms property located 1 mile north on HWY 83 in Penitas TX. For directions and addition flying field information visit the flying field Page.

The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Visitors are always welcome. The meeting location varies so check this page for current meeting schedule and location.

Flight instruction is available and we encourage people interested in remote controlled aviation to consider the use of an instructor to guide them through the initial pre-flight preparation and their initial flights. The club provides insured Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) RC instructor pilots free on charge to prospective club members. See the Flight Instruction page for more details.
